Haircut before and after...

Brian and I finally broke down and had Evelyn's hair trimmed for the first time. Yet another milestone that came quicker than we thought it would.
She was starting to look a little frizzy and we got a few comments about her having "Einstein" hair, so we consulted with our longtime friend and family hairdresser, the lovely Miss Rhonda. She pointed out that while Evelyn's baby hair (that she was born with) was straight, the new growth was coming in curly. Unfortunately, the straight baby hair would never curl as much as the new growth and she'd always have hair sticking out at all angles if we didn't trim it. And, besides, "it's only hair!" Yes, we agree, it's only hair, but it's OUR baby's hair! Well after a little more thought, we bit the bullet and had Grandma Winterfield schedule an appointment for little Miss Evelyn while we were visiting downstate. So, at 10am on Tuesday, April 7th, Evelyn had her hair cut for the first time! Rhonda did a wonderful job (of course), she even had a colorful cape ready for Evelyn to wear. It worked like a charm to distract her. She kept pointing to herself in the mirror too! Too cute!

Before--notice straight ends, looking a little wispy in spots
Also before, kind of hard to see, but her hair was sticking straight out on the right side (her left side.) Miss Rhonda working her magic on Miss Evelyn's hair! She even picked out a special, super colorful cape for Evelyn to wear!

After: Evelyn's new "Halle Berry" haircut! Just couldn't get her to smile, she was getting tired!

Miss Rhonda and Miss Evelyn--what pretty ladies!
